Established in 2011
Pedal Precision was founded in 2011 by Richard Salisbury. Richard is a qualified Sports Rehabilitation Specialist and Professional Bike Fitter.
Whilst studying and working in the world of Sports Injury Treatment, working with professional athletes and members of the public alike, Richard was also working in the cycling industry to fund his study. He started applying his growing injury and rehab knowledge into helping people to ride better. As word spread, more and more people began seeking him out at races and events to get his advice on all sorts of pain or discomfort they were feeling when riding. A veteran of 20 years on the endurance mountain bike circuit, Richard is extremely passionate about all things cycling.
As well as racing to a high standard off-road he can often be found training on his road bike, riding hard at the Velodrome or blasting across Manchester on his fixed wheel bike. Richard has also personally had to rehabilitate himself from serious illness back to competitive riding, which means he is in a perfect position to empathise. Helping from all over the country, Pedal Precision has performed thousands of bike fits over the years and seen/helped arguably every conceivable cycling related problem.
As well as running Pedal Precision, Richard is also a director of the charity Cyclists Fighting Cancer. As a qualified Cancer Exercise Specialist, Rich uses his combined expertise to help the team provide as many bikes and adapted trikes as possible to children living with and beyond a cancer diagnosis.
Over time, Pedal Precision has become the nucleus of a slightly larger organism. Experience has allowed Rich to expand the services we offer to other areas including Custom Builds, Cycling infrastructure consultancy for developers and also as a speaker to audiences across all walks of life. You can find out more about these services through the rest of our website.
